I don't know about you, but I LOVE a sweet breakfast. Sugary cereals, pastries, waffles, french toast... PANCAKES. Lets be real, pancakes are good all day long, which is why my roommate and I made them for lunch yesterday. Believe it or not, these pancakes were actually not terrible for you!
What I buy:
Kodiak Cakes Flapjack and Waffle Mix - 130 calories for two pancakes and 7 grams of protein
ANY sugar free syrup - 35 calories per serving and 0 grams of sugar vs normal syrup which is 210 calories for the same serving size and 53 grams of sugar
A bunch of delicious fruit
Almond or peanut butter - Both are about the same calorie wise but contain different vitamins. Almond butter contains more calcium and magnesium, which are important for bone health, and blood pressure control while peanut butter is a little higher in some B vitamins and selenium. Almond butter has more fiber, and peanut butter has more protein, so I say just choose your favorite!
Arctic Zero ice-cream (salted caramel) - This ice-cream is only 35 calories for 1/2 cup.. is this real life? It is real life and I'm in love. For 1/2 cup of normal vanilla ice-cream, there are 150 calories. I could eat the whole pint of Arctic Zero and it would only be 150 calories! This also has more protein because it is made with whey protein concentrate, and 10 less grams of sugar.
